Who this work is for
Self-aware, motivated adults who are done managing and ready to actually change.
Coming out at any age
Later than you planned counts. Coming out in your 30s, 40s, or beyond, and rebuilding the parts of life that no longer fit who you are.
Full lives, real challenges
Anxiety, perfectionism, and ADHD in adults managing full lives, with challenges that still deserve support.
Done performing
Therapy where you never have to justify or explain your identity along the way. That part is handled, so the real work starts sooner.
“You're not lost. You're at a turning point.”
Meet Amanda Jablon, LCSW
Amanda is a therapist based in Southern California with more than ten years in private practice. She holds an MSW from USC and draws from Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method in her work.
She specializes in queer adults who came into themselves later than they planned, and everyone else doing the hard work of finally becoming who they actually are. The gap between understanding yourself and actually changing is where the work lives, through somatic and parts work rather than another round of insight that goes nowhere.
Sessions run 50 minutes by secure video, available to adults anywhere in California. Half-day and full-day relationship intensives are available for bigger repairs and major decisions.
How the work happens
Insight alone rarely changes much. The approach is built from three evidence-based models, adapted to whoever is in the room.
Internal Family Systems
The anxious, perfectionist, and protective parts of you all exist for a reason. Parts work gets at the root instead of managing symptoms.
Emotionally Focused Therapy
Attachment-based work for the patterns that follow you through relationships: the same guardedness, the same distance.
Somatic Work
Years of performing live in the body. Somatic work helps change happen below the neck, not just on paper.

The details
Common questions
Do you take insurance?
No. The practice is private pay, with superbills provided on request. Depending on your plan, out-of-network benefits may reimburse part of the fee.
Do I need to have my identity figured out first?
No. Not knowing yet is one of the most common places to start. Nothing about the process assumes you have a label, or want one.
Do you only work with queer clients?
No. Queer adults are a specialty, and the practice is open to any adult in California working through identity, anxiety, perfectionism, ADHD, or a major life transition.
How often are sessions?
Weekly, especially at the start. This is real therapeutic work, and momentum matters more than most people expect.
